Who is Bridgeway?

The Bridgeway Church in Greater Manchester is made up of a group of local people from different backgrounds who are committed to being disciples of Jesus, who make new disciples of Jesus and start new communities of disciples for the glory of Jesus. We are made up of a number of ‘Community Groups’ which meet up in different areas around Manchester during the week, and gather together each Sunday to share in worship of God and fellowship with one another. The Bridgeway church is all about Jesus and making Him known.

What are Community Groups?

Throughout the week, small groups of people gather at different times in various places to “be Church” where they live. These groups enjoy spending time together eating & drinking, watching films, reading the bible, decorating houses, praying, helping their neighbours, creating art & serving their communities…

Where do you meet?

All community groups gather together on Sundays at 10:30am at 17 Didsbury Road, SK4 2BD.  Throughout the week the different community groups meet up in the Heatons/Reddish – Stockport, Glossop, & Rochdale. Please contact us to find out more details about a community group near your area.  We also invite you to join us as a church to help grow community groups in other parts of Greater Manchester.

What do you believe?

We believe the core truths of the bible that Christians have always believed and taught.  For more information about our beliefs you can find our statement of faith here:  BW Statement of faith Pack – updated Dec. 11, 2013

Who are you connected with?

We are a local independent group of Christians, but we are not isolated or alone.  We are apart of God’s great story all over the world.  This is primarily expressed through our involvement with the Acts 29 Europe network; a group of churches which are passionate about helping each other plant more churches.
